Easter Long Weekend 06-09 04/2012
Robert & Rosemary have spent a lot of time & effort preparing the park for this Easter, repairing access roads that had copped a fair bit from last years big wet. All the access roads and tracks are in good conditition. The weather was perfect, cloudless days and beautiful nights, although Good Friday night was a little cool, but this makes a camp fire more enjoyable. Numbers were down compared to last years event, some people may have been put off because of the past wet. Like they say, If you don't go, you will never know. And don't forget about the June Long Weekend 9-10-11th.

This is a great venue for a MySwag meet organized by Mark and was attended by quiet a few members.
We enjoyed a great Camp Oven cookup each night, the aroma around the camp fire was mouth watering. We usually had about 6 Camp Ovens around the fire each night, from a Roast, Country Chicken & Pasta, Baked Spuds & Vegies and Stew. Did I see someone with a couple of stick of garlic bread?
Easter Saturday night, a night run organized by Phil and Margaret Horner, Thanks guys, and a few volunteers who gave up their time, held a question and answer run throught the property. This wasn't a timed run, more a fun night. This year a few of us MySwaggers helped marshall a check point each, we had a position up a hill and gave Easter eggs to the kids, who had a puzzle to try and work out without the help of their parents, then directed them down the right track to the next check point. 39 vehicles entered and I believe near $900 was raised for the Westpac Chopper, Well done to everyone involved.
Easter Sunday morning the kids had a Easter egg hunt & Mark got the kids bubble sticks to play with, the morning was picture perfect without a breath of wind.
